beauty in the ordinary. a play based in-home session .
Lifestyle baby sessions are all about documenting a family's connection with each other. During the session, I will encourage parents and siblings to snuggle, play, or plan an activity to do together. Individual photos of baby will be taken while he/she is in the places he/she normally sleeps or plays, and they will never be unnaturally posed. My main goal is to create a gallery filled with everyday moments with your newest member.

How old should my baby be for a lifestyle session?
What should I expect from a session with my newborn?
If you book your lifestyle session with your newborn, I recommend that you schedule it for when your baby is between 4-14 days old. Because we are not depending on them being incredibly sleepy for posing purposes, any time in the first month works great. If you want your session to capture your baby when they are a little older and more expressive, I recommend 3, 6, 9, or 12 months old.
Lifestyle sessions typically take place in your home, and focus on your family's relationship with your new baby. These sessions do not use props or unnatural poses. Instead, they document the connection you have with your new baby through interaction. This means that I will be photographing your newborn in your arms, in their bed, or any other place you would naturally see them throughout the day.

What should we wear during our session?
What should our baby wear during the session?
Wear what makes you feel confident and like yourself. I recommend keeping it simple, comfortable, and in a neutral color palette. Creams, tans, whites, grays, blacks, or muted tones work great as they will not cast colors on the baby's skin.
Babies look best when they are dressed simply and comfortably. My favorites for newborns are plain white onesies, solid color pajamas, and simple stretch swaddles. Older babies photograph best in solid colored clothing that is free of logos, patterns, or characters.
